I have a Whirlpool Duet HT and I have put a pen throuth the door gasket so I have a water leek. Is this door seal easy to replace or should I have someone replace it for me?

Already Tried:
Put a patch on the hole but it in tuff spot to do this in. The door seal looks fine every where else just the spot the pen whent through looks to be where the water is leeking. Can this be done by a lyman or should I here it out.

 
 
 
 
 
 

Accepted Answer

Rather than change the seal gasket out, it's easier and a lot less trouble to seal the hole with silicone sealant. Be sure to give the silicone plenty of time to cure.
