Hello, my oven doesnt get hot unless I turn the temperature

Resolved Question:

Hello, my oven doesn't get hot unless I turn the temperature to 500 degrees. It will get warm below 500 degrees, but not hot. What could be the problem? I have a Kenmore gas stove model #36275322002.

The gas has been off at this house for a month. I have a tenant that just moved in. Could it have something to do with the gas valve not being turned on all of the way?
Expert:  Bryan replied 7 years ago.
ok I believe you need to change the temperature sensor in this. Part 252618you can get this @ http://www.repairclinic.com/SSPartDetail.aspx?s=t-362.75322002-%3d%3di252618d631910i252618&PartID=252618 this will take care of your problem.the gas valve if not turned on all the way could effect the gas flow and possibly cause this check and make sure its turned all the way on before getting the sensor, thanks Bryan
