ok then this is a kenmore but this model was actually made by Frigidaire. What you are describing sounds like your main drum bearing has gone out and this is very common for this model as well as very expensive to fix it at about $700 which is the cost of a new washer. It's definitely going to be best to replace the unit in this circumstance instead of repairing.
