I have a Maytag Jetclean 2 It has all the displays It will not open the water inlet. The auto check displays #6 light (Clean Water Sensor)
Make: maytagModel: Jetclean2 Already Tried: Auto test shows 6 I think this is Clean Water detection If I put water in it will run but it will never open the water valve to fill
This is very easy to figure out. I never assume anything, so you check what you want, but guessing will not solve this. The float in dishwasher at front moves up and down- should hear a slight click when you move it. Next, take the 2 wires off water valve and see if there is voltage to it when machine should be filling- you can take a lamp and hold the terminals to the plug for an improvised tester. If lamp lights then valve is bad- replace it.
I do not get 120 volts on the valve wires when the unit should be filling and the float switch is opening and closing with an ohm meter on it
Then there is a problem with the control not sending down the juice. It would need to be replaced.
