Whirlpool Gold Quiet Partner III clean light blinks 7 times and repeats itself. Pressing cancel runs the drain for two minutes and then shuts off. Controls will not allow running a new wash cycle. Clean light still blinking.

Press...... heated dry ....normal....heated dry...normal ...then hit cancel
wait until 2 minute cycle is done. open and close the door and make sure it is closed.

Then run another cycle. If it does not reset then either the latch has a bad connection or theheating element circuit is faulty.Thanks Bob

There is no heated dry cycle. The four wash cycles are rinse dry, china, normal, and posts & pans.

Tried four times. No luck. Each time I have to press cancel twice to initiate the two minute drain cycle. The green clean light continues to blink the 7-blink sequence repeatedly the whole time and still does.

 

The energy company recently placed some "smart" monitoring device on our outside panel/breaker box and said that we would need to reset all digital appliances. I would think that applies to appliances with clocks and not the dishwasher control circuits.

if this has happened after they were working on your meter then most likely the control board is fried...

Two other options...Remove the bottom kick panel...There will be a tech sheet that you can run diagnostics from...It will have the button sequence to reset...Try it a few times before calling service...Normally when the clean light is flashing it could be a problem with the door switch....The heating circuit...Or the control board it self....From what you are telling me now it could very well be from the electric company working on the meter...These boards are ery sensitive to power surge...Also try the ...Airdry...sani rinse...airdry...sani rinse ....cancel.......Thanks Bob
