We have a holding tank attached to our water heater. The pressure release valve on the tank seems broken and there is water leaking out of a pipe attached to the valve. Is this something we can fix ourselves by getting a new valve or do we need to get an expert?
Pressure relief valves corrode and decay and consequently leak over time. You can easily replace it. Valve is available from any plumbing supply. Just turn off water supply of course before doing this.
