I have a Kenmore selfcleaning oven. While my daughter was cleaning the stove she pressed the clean button. Since she didnt want the oven to self clean she opened the oven door before the latch could lock on the door. The oven went into clean mode and the latch is out. We can not get it (the latch)to go in and we can not close the oven door. What can we do?

Hi, press and hold the door switch, start a clean cycle. Wait three min (while still holding the door switch in) and cancel the clean cycle.
