I have a frigidaire side by side and I replaced the filter and the water stopped working, I still get ice. It literally worked seconds before changing the filter.
Make: frigidaire professionalModel: plhs68eesb2 Already Tried: removed and reinstalled the filter, turned the temperature up about 1 week ago because someone said the water could be frozen in the door.
have you got the new filter installed?
YES
how long has it been installed now
about 2 weeks
when you first put it in how long did you hold in on the water dispenser?
our manual said to install filter and then hold the filter button until the lights run through yellow red and green so it will reset. this same thing happened to me the first time i put in the filter and it was still under warranty the service tech said there was a bent nipple in the opening the filter goes into and he fixed it. i called the same service tech and he has no idea what im talking about and wants to sell me a new door.
at the bottom of the freezer door remove the grill and pull the water line out a little and take it apart at the nipple and hit the water lever with the door closed and see if it shoot water out the tube please
yes and it seems to be leaking
stick it back together and close door and hold in on the water dispenser and keep holding and let me know now if water comes out
yes its still leaking water i can hear the water running in the line and feel it in the tubing
where does it seem to be leaking now ,, at the coupling under the door?
yes, some but I can see water going up the tubing into the freezer door
when you hold in the water lever does water come out the door now
no there is water in the right half of the filter
hold a glass against the water lever and keep holdin for up to 5 mintues and get back to me as soon as you get water
still no water
he was kinda right about the door but all you need is the tubing going though the door ,, the part number isNNN-NN-NNNNand it cost $6.12 and you can get it at a local appliance parts dealer or online at www3.sears.comyou will need to take it loose at the coupling and then remove the panel the glass sets on in the dispenser and remove the three screws and lift the dispenser cover up and off and then take the tube loose and pull up and out ,, go back the same way from top to bottom / thanks
