My GE JE 1860 BH 04 Microvave Oven, Ser. # XXXXX 900189U has stopped heating. all controls, lights, turntable, etc. are working. I suspect the magnatron has gone out. What say you?

Thank you for asking your question on JustAnswer.
It could be a few deferent things. The capacitor, the transformer or the magnetron. But first be aware that the capacitor can kill you if you don't safely discharge it before touching anything else.

Use a metal ( not the shiny chrome type ) screw driver with a insulated handle to short across ( touch both at the same time ) the terminals of the high voltage capacitor to discharge it. With the microwave unplugged.

This is a common way to do this....
