My washing machine will not agitate. The belt spins the pulley on the bottom of the transmision, but the transmission does not move.

The trans turns on the spin cycle, but when trying to agitate the pulley on the bottom of the transmission spins but the trans does not move.

you have a bad transmisson ,, the part number is XXXXX and cost $135.99 and it comes with the break assy ,,,, you will have to tear the washer down to replace the transmisson and you will also need seals but that is something you will need to see about as you go ,,, this is a job for a appliance tech but if you try it yourself then take it slow and watch every move / thanks Larry
