can i convert my over the range microwave to a counter top microwave
Make: whirlpool
Hello, I am here to assist you. I wouldn't recommend doing that because you have a vent fan and a light underneath the over the range. The purpose of these two things is to take place of a regular hood vent that goes over your stove. If you still want to do it I recommend that 1) make sure the bottom of the microwave is level, meaning that some over the counter microwave have a tilt to them at the bottom and 2) build a stand for the microwave because if you set it directly on the countertop you will not be able to open the door since the bottom of the the door is usually directly in line with the bottom of the microwave. Even counter top microwaves have legs. So, again, eventhough I wouldn't recommend it being done, it is still your call.
