I have a kenmore heavy duty dryer model/stock no. 96478100,

Resolved Question:

I have a kenmore heavy duty dryer model/stock no. 96478100, it stopped heating up. Every thing else working properly. Is there a part that I can change to fix this issue?

Reading 110v on red and 110v on black.

If you mean accross the dryer terminals.110 volts accross those two.

It should read 220 volts.

10-4. actually pegs out @ 240.

Take the back off and look at the top of the heater housing.Its a hi limit thermo.It should be closed.If not that check the heater and the other thermostat .Its usually the first one.

I dont have continuity on top, but i do on bottom, is that what u mean?

Yes it is.the reason for that one to fail is a venting problem.
