I purchased a GE Profile refrigerator a few months ago. I have had no problems in the first few months. Yesterday the refrigerator started making loud noises. By that I mean the motor is running loudly and constantly. Also, the back of the freezer compartment is covered with a fine frozen mist. I suspect something is wrong with the ice maker, but not sure what to do. Please help.
Make: PFCS1NFYSSModel: Side by Side Already Tried: Unplugging and replugging in frig. Turning off water supply and then turning it back on.
Hi YaCustomerThank you for asking your question on JustAnswer,Myself and the other Experts are anxious to help you.My name is Ican. It seems that this brand new fridge has a defrost heater problem. This location you are speaking about in bak of the freezer compartment is where the defrost heater is located. You said, you only have this fridge a few monthes. You can not attempt to repair it your self or you will void the warranty. In this case you must use the GE authorized repair service. 1 (800) GE CARES. Ge will take care of it for you.I.can40067.5399818634
