I got a U60 cooling fan error shortly after my Dacor wall oven started to warmup today. I checked for voltage when the oven was hot at the output for the cooling fan on relay bd, J15 wht, blk and blu. No voltage. Oven is cool now and I still have the error. Power reset is not helping. I have not pulled the oven out far enough to get to the fan (no appliance cart available) so I have not inspected the fan. I am willing to apply voltage supply to the fan wires to test but I am not sure of the supply voltage required. I suspect 110 VAC, but I didn't want to assume. Do you know? Do you know if the u60 error must be reset? How do you reset the U60 error?
Make: DacorModel: EO130 Already Tried: Checked for voltage at J15. None. Reseated all connectors on realy bd.
You should be able to reset the error by just turning the breaker off for 60 seconds once the oven is cool. As far as the U60 error goes, you can't test which part is bad and here is why. On the cooling fan there is a "hall sensor". The hall sensor will measure the speed that the fan is running. The fan itself has 2 terminals and yes it receives 120 volts. You would have to pull the oven out to check for voltage. But you can't do the test with the error on the screen. If the error won't go away then you have a bad control board.
I applied 110 VAC to the fan at the relay bd J15 an the fan runs fine, hi and lo speed.
Apon power on after 60+ sec the u60 error displays right after the startup messages before any attempt to start the oven. Since the oven is cool and therefore the fan should not be running the hall effect sensor is not in play. Assumption would be the hall effect is ok and the logic is erroneously reporting the U60 error since the fan is not expected to be on. Question is where is that logic? Relay bd or the control panel bd? As you might have guessed I too am a technician. I have 36 years of experience in the office machine business. I feel I am more than qualified to execute troubleshooting steps if I had the documentation. Or if I had access to parts for troubleshooting. Can I get access to test boards for trouble shooting? - What would you replace if you had to pay for the parts? Can you help me with a source for parts?
My company orders Dacor parts from Dacor themselves because we are authorized. The logic is not in the Relay board isn't in the front panel control interface board. As far as who you can get parts from, I'm not sure. Not only do you have the problem with getting Dacor parts because they don't have many distributors, but you have the fact that this oven is only about 2 years old, so any unauthorized parts suppliers aren't going to have parts either. Your best bet is to call Dacor themselves.
Did you mean the logic "is in the front panel control interface board"?
Should I replace the front panel control interface board 1st?
Correct. You should replace the front interface board first.
