I have a Kenmore front load washer that will not final spin

Resolved Question:

I have a Kenmore front load washer that will not final spin on the rinse cycle. What is the issue and how do I get the front off if the problem is with the control board?

Does the machine still have water in it?
Customer: replied 7 years ago.
Not that I can see however if I shake the washer it sounds like water is there. the pump does drain the water it just does not spin dry the laundry. I started intermittently but is getting worse.

What does it do when it gets to the final spin?
Customer: replied 7 years ago.
Sometimes it does spin but more frequently it only drains but does not spin.

Can you open the door?
Customer: replied 7 years ago.
Yes this is never a problem
Expert:  Tom Johnston replied 7 years ago.
Open the door and close it and push in on it and try the spin cycle.
Customer: replied 7 years ago.
So you think it may be the door switch?
Expert:  Tom Johnston replied 7 years ago.
Yes i do because you say sometimes it works and others it wont that usualy indicates a problem with the door lock.
Customer: replied 7 years ago.
If I need it replaced, can I do that? How do I get at the switch?
Expert:  Tom Johnston replied 7 years ago.
The rubber seal on the front needs to be pulled back to access it.There should be a wire clamp in a groove on the front of the seal.Yes you can do it yourself.
