if whatever your cooking is cooked in the time allowed that it calls for then its working right ,, always allow 25 degree rise when cooking

I made a cake that should be cooked for 30 minutes at 350 degrees. i cooked it for 40 minutes and it is still not done

if the stuff like cake mix and other mixes are old it will take a lot longer to cook ,,, do you have a themonter you can stick into the oven and test the temp?
