My electric Maytag stove is beeping and in place of the time it is flashing F1. I pressed cancel and it stopped for a minute or two. I flipped the breaker- still beeped when I turned it back on. I pulled the plug. I have had the stove fora long time and cannot put my hands on the manual. What does F! mean and what should I do?

the F1 code is telling you that the control /clock is bad .

is the stove still useable? I dont think I paid much more for the stove when it was brand new! it appears that if I had it repaired-the cost of the part and someones labor would probably be close to the price of a new stove.Think its time for a new stove>

the burnes will work , But unlikely oven will .

You will probably be able to program the oven but after a short time the F1 code will come back.

My opinion ,Time to go shopping $$$$, Sorry I have to be honest.
