Hi, I have a Kenmore model 362. 72621300 gas range. We performed the self-clean option. After it cooled down, we cannot get the oven to work. When we press the Bake button to set temperature, the display comes back with unlock door. The oven door opens w/o issue. I have tried unplugging for 5 minutes. as well as, re-doing the self-clean option, after 15 minutes, canceling it, waiting an hour, opening the oven door, and it still sends the same message.
Make: kenmoreModel: 362.72621300 Already Tried: 1.) unplugging it for >5 minutes. 2.) running self-clean. canceling it after 15 minutes. Waiting an hour for it to cool down. Opening oven door, and then closing it.

this is located right on the latch assy where you lock and unlock the door , it is not telling the control that the door is actually unlocked
Can you provide me with a link for a repair manual, etc?
with this type of latch how old is this unit? I would assume 15-20 years approx
It's no more than 6 years old.
wow most models have a electric driven latch assembly nowadays.
this is the only manual I was able to find ,And it is not a repair manual.

but if you raise the cooktop up you should see a cover, remove cover and latch is right there.very easy repair approx 30 min.
Does the top use clips?
yes one one the left and one on the right even has a arm on the side to hold top up
Sorry to keep bugging you. The burners have to be disconnected from the cooktop. Is this a mechanical rod solenoid?
this is a parts breakdown of the model number you have given me .

As a FYI:You had chosen the correct part and manual. However, it was not the switch that was the problem. There was loose insulation material that had gotten inbetween the switch and the latch, which made it appear that the latch was still in the locked position.Just thought I'd add that for any future reference.
I do thank you very much ,that one I have never heard of or seen .
I will log that in my memory for future use, Thnak you so very much!!!!
