I have a GE Refrig Model # XXXXX WGTA and it creates ice, but inside the Freezer door the lever (with rubber /plastic stopper) that keeps the area of ice dispenser closed when not running and open when dispensing has stayed ... open. Which leads outside air to get into freezer and the condensation in that area makes it a giant block of half melting and half frozen ice. Which in turn does not let the dispenser work at all. How can I open that front panel to get that lever UNSTUCK or replace whatever seems to be 'not letting it work' I hope someone understands what I'm speaking about.
Make: GeModel: GSS23 WGTA Already Tried: I manually removed the 'rubber/plastic' covering which is attached to lever that seems to be stuck in place (inside freezer door). Placed a piece of plastic on inside covering ice dispenser from inside to avoid outside air from getting into freezer.
The front panel of the dispenser will lift up and pop off. Then you can access the inside and see what is holding the ice door open.Appliance Man40049.0665435185
