I have a side-by-side Frigidaire model number FRS26LF8CS7. The freezer is cold, but the refrigerator is not stayin cold. It was purchased in Mar 2005. I have vaccumed the condenser, but didn't work.
Is there ice build up on the inside back wall of the freezer?
NO
Is the fan in the freezer running also what is the freezer control set at?
Yes the fan is running and the freezer setting is on 5.
Ok in the upper left corner of the fridge compartment is the airflow damper.Put your hand over it and adjust the freezer control.See if you can increase the air flow.Adjust the control both ways.
There is no airflow from this damper.
Do you have a voltage tester?
yes
Ok you need to remove the damper and make sure it is getting power. There should be 2 screws holding on the cover. They will be set into the cover.
I have the cover off, how do i check.
Take the wires off the damper motor and check them for voltage.

Tom,
My damper on my fridge is broke again. Can you help. Its only been two weeks.
Whats the problem?
The little drive mechanism that opens and closes the damper is broken just like the old one.
Do you mean the motor?
no, its the plastic rod thing that pushes the damper flap open.
If it is the arm the part is bad call where you got it from.
