The seal of my dryer drum is coming out, that is what I think you call the inside of the dryer. What should I do? Can I still use it? Is the heat coming out?
Hello, I am here to assist you, First may I have the model number of your unit and also, the seal you are talking about is it the felt material?
I do not know where to find the model number if it is on the back I can't move the dryer. The material does not feel like felt, my dryer is older that dirt.

This is a Kenmore?
Yes a Kenmore and old one
Okay I got the diagram. Where is this coming out? From the front of the drum the back of the drum? Try and describe what it looks like.
It is coming out of the back of the drum, there is a light, holes on both sides one is where the lint goes. The seal is down on the bottom of the back.
Okay, the way it sounds you hve a bad rear drum seal. This can be replaced but to do so you will need to pull out the drum itself. You can replace it yourself because the rear drum seal kit comes with instructions. Now with the seal going bad you are losing heat for the dryer. It is going through the crack of the seal and not staying in the dryer. Also you take a chance of clothes getting caught between the drum and the rear seal which will cause streaks. I am send you a link to the kit so you can see what I am talking about. It includes part number and price.

Thank you for the info. Do you have any idea how much this would cost to have a repair man fix?
To be honest including parts and labor should be no more than $140 at the most. Quick easy fix.
