I have a GE under the hood microwave. It completly shut down for a short while then the power came back on. Everything works except it dosent heat anything up. What do I need to do?

Accepted Answer

When this happens it means that the magnetron shorted out. The magnetron has a thermo fuse on so if it gets to hot it will shut off. The magnetron cost 150 for the part and requires a tech to install. I would just buy a new microwave.
