my admiral stove #8114p350-60 has been experiencing off and on the F-1 error with the alarm. The past few days it has started in the middle of the night and continues minutes after pushing clear. This has just stopped after a full two hours of this. what to do.

F1Defective touch pad or membraneTo determine which component is at fault, disconnect ribbon strip. If NO fault code, replace membrane, otherwise replace ERC

The ribbon cable goes from the touch pad to the computer.If you unplug the unit and remove the back of the control panel you should see it.

Well to have a tech come in you are probably looking around 300 dollars to have it repaired.
