Hi ,I have a Kenmore 80 series gas dryer that is about twelve years old.It does not heat up and the clothes do not dry.It just tumbles. When the dryer was working, when you turned it on after tumbling for a few seconds you could hear the flame ignite now it just tumbles and you do not here any ignition.I have replaced the thermal fuse, the thermostat and the ignitor. It still does not heat up.I do not know what to look at next as money is tight and I have to do my own repairs.Any help would be great. Thank You.
Hello does the igniter glow but gas does not come out?
I do not know if it glows as I only try the dryer when it is all back together.I do not think I can see the ignitor with the dryer assembled.
Ok do you have a volt meter?
Yes.
Ok there is two wires going to the igniter what voltage do you have?
I am not with the dryer right now.I will not be until tomorrow.Any chance it is the gas valve soleniod coils?
Yes that is were i was going just wanted to make sure we are getting 110v to the igniter if you replaced the thermal igniter and thermostat the coils are the last thing.
