Maytag Electric Dryer MED5620tq0. Strong putrid odor only when drying. At first only ocassional, now all of the time. Replaced vent hose(very short) and cleaned outside flapper.
Took off back and it was clean,but didn't go any farther inside. Dryer is only a year old.

Sounds like something is dead inside your dryer. You'll need to get it apart and get it out and cleaned up. Nothing that the dryer is made of is going to stink.
