I have a LG dryer model dle2516w, about one year old, Tumbles but no heat. Breakers ok. It looks like it will be hard to get to the heating element Any suggestions?
Hello.
You need to remove the top panel. There are 2-3 screws holding the top panel in place. Push back on the panel and lift it off. You will see the screws holding the control panel on. Remove the control panel and that will reveal the screws holding the front panel on. Remove the panel and the element is in the bottom right hand side. The part number is 5301EL1001G and it can be ordered at www.vancebaldwin.com. It is easy to replace and if you can make it to it, you can replace it. Let me know if you have any other questions.
