hi...I accepted your advice and paid for it but never got the appliance to work. are you available?
hello ,,, fill me in please
i just posted another detailed message. We have a sub-Zero freezer with an ice maker. It was working. Then I took the drawer out, emptied the ice and apparently didn't put it back right. I think its set up right now, but it is not making ice.
did it cycle and fill with water and is the arm up or down beside the icemaker
I can't tell if it cycled and filled...how do I know that? and the arm goes across the ice bin...and it appears to be up but I don't know how to push it/set it down. if you are facing the icemaker, there is the following: A plastic bin which fills with ice. Above it the wire arm, which I think is up, but not sure. behind the plastic bin is a sliding flat white metal plate which slides back and forth. The back of the bin hooks over the front of this plate. when the bin is in, the plate is pushed back.
the arm should be down to the side of the icemaker ,,, look at the icemaker and tell me where the ejector fingers that push the ice out of the icemaker are pointing please
There is a wire part of the arm that is to the right side of the plastic bin, and when the bin is hooked on the plate and the assembly is pushed into the freezer, that arm is down. The fingers appear to be pointing straight ahead and slightly angled up.
feel inside the icemaker and tell me if there is any ice in the icemaker itself
There is a stray cube or two. There were more, but about 7 days ago when this happened, we cleared them out. By the way, we put the bin in correctly last night, and no ice this morning. We did nothing else but take the bin out and use the ice and then apparently somehow "unset" it. I do not think the ice is being blocked
i believe you were having problems before you took the ice out and didnt notice it until you empty the bucket ,,, do this ,, add water to the icemaker and let it set ,, in the morning check the icemaker and if there are only cubes in the icemaker and they have not dumped then replace the icemaker ,, if the cubes has dumped and no more ice or water in the icemaker then replace the water valve ,, if it dump and refilled then it just needed a jump start
Where do I add water? Its plumbed in.
just pour a few oz into the body of the icemaker ,,, the part that the ice makes in and dumps out off
