Our Kenmore top load washer emits hot water only, no cold. I removed the cw line and it is clear. While operating, I unplug it and the water flow stops completely.

You need to check to see if the cold water selinoid is getting 120 volts if it is replace the water valve.

The water valve is where the hoses hook up.You need to take the unit apart to access the wires.If you watch this video it will show you how to take it apart.
