I have a Warnock Hersey "Hotblast" model 1300 wood stove in which I burn 16" fire wood. Can it be modified to burn wood pellets?

No............as the Pellet Stoves take a totally different approach at burning, which consists of the following;

1) Pellet Auger ( to dispense the pellets into burn pot)
2) Burn Pot (contains a specific amount of Pellets as indicated by the electronics)
3) Electronics ( specific to the Stove & adjusts the Auger Speed to fill Burn Pot)
4) Design ( the design or the incoming air is governed by the Blower)
5) Blower (incoming Air Blower)
6) Exhaust Fan ( Exhaust is expelled by this Fan)
7) Flue ( the flue is typically 4 inches max)
