Our Sub-Zero refrigerator (M406313) has started making clicking

Customer Question

: Our Sub-Zero refrigerator (M406313) has started making clicking noises approximately every 7-10 minutes (sometimes less). THis started within the last few weeks and someone suggested that it may be a defrosting mechanism trying to reset. It seems to have started after we turned up and then turned down the cooling dial (trying to corrext for the door not closing for up to one hour). What should we do and how serious is this> thanks for your help,
Nikki

Hello this may be the defrost timer or the overload relay. If the sound is coming from the top its the relay on the compressor if the noise is coming from the inside its the timer either is a serious issue. The relay job will cost about 225 and the timer will cost about 200.
