I have a Haier Dehumidifier HD656E it runs but does not collect any water - the drain hose is dry.

And in your location is it humid enough for the dehumidifer to pull moisture out of the air ?
The humidity in my basement registers at 85. Yes it should be pulling a lot of moisture out of the air. It used to work but now it does not.

It sounds like it is running properly but it is not working.
then it sounds as if you have a sealed system (cooling issue)
How old it this unit?
It is 11 months old. I purchased it on August 26,2008. I set it onXXXXXI always have but now it takes no moisture out of the air.
ok so it will still be under the 1 year warranty ,period you need to cantact Haier , customer service , so they can send some one to look at it ,
It should have a 1 year warranty on it anyway!!!
