I have a dryer that does not stay on after pressed the start

Resolved Question:

I have a dryer that does not stay on after pressed the start button. It runs if the butten is continuously pressed. However, there is no heat if running this way. The factory test mode was not able to be established. What is the problem?

By the way, the dryer is Whirlpool Gold. The model number should be GEQ9858JQ.

Thanks.

Customer/p>

do you have a volt-ohm meter so you can check voltages from control in the console.

Customer: replied 7 years ago.
Yes, I do have one.
Expert:  Whrlp Master Tech replied 7 years ago.

ok you will need to open console

it has two philip screws in the rear on the corners remove/ open that

this is your wiring diagram

http://www.servicematters.com/docs/wiring/Tech%20Sheet%20-%203978618.pdf

on page two left side of wire diageam look for P2-7 pink /blkack tracer and P3-2

Customer: replied 7 years ago.
Opened the console, and found the P2-7 and P3-2 on the diagram, but do not know where they really are on the dryer.
Expert:  Whrlp Master Tech replied 7 years ago.

on the control board look at bottom of page two you will see the control drawn out P3 connector is on bottom left corner .once you find connectors on actual control , set meter to DC voltage while pressing start button you should have 48 Volts DC if not you have a baD CONTROL BOARD

if you have 48 volts then motor relay is bad.

will hold on for you.

Customer: replied 7 years ago.
I assume it is the Motor Relay. I found it if that is the one. On which points should I test?
Expert:  Whrlp Master Tech replied 7 years ago.
P2-7 pink /blkack tracer and P3-2
Customer: replied 7 years ago.
I found two pink/black and two blues on the chart. Shoud I test the two pink/black or two blues, or pink/black and blue? Which pink/black and blue should I test?
Expert:  Whrlp Master Tech replied 7 years ago.
the two pink /black
Customer: replied 7 years ago.
The votage is 0. The voltage between P/B and bl is 33. I also tested the heat Relay and hoped that votage will be 48. However, the votage between the two W/Ps (not positive about the exact color) is 0 also, and the W/P and the other wire (can't remember the color) is also 33. Is it because they were both bad or something else is bad?

Thank you very much for answering my questions. Thank you also for identify the part for me. One final question: I did a search for the part online and received the following information--Part(NNN) NNN-NNNNwas replaced by W10110467. Is the part you suggested, 661652R, the same part?

Customer: replied 7 years ago.

Yes, I did. I tried to use your link to find the part but I was not able to find it from that web site with all the options I tried. The item #24 is a door assembly, not the control assembly. I was not able to fine anything using the part number.

I am sorry for bringing you so many questions.
