Hi Can you tell from this what part your referring to?
I am trying to describe it but it is not shown on parts list
http://www.repairclinic.com/SSPartDetail.aspx?PartID=2670&PPStack=1
This is the inside of the clutch.Do you see it here ?
yes i have all those parts installed already, the piece i have is white plastic has 1 boss on each side with a hole thru the center it also has grease on one side
Is it # XXXXX this is the best oicture I can get.
No that is not it it is not shown on any parts list I can find but has to go between the clutch assembly and drive tube I only removed the gearcase to replace the clutch assembly I have the spin tube thrust washer as shown and the brake and drive tube were not taken apart. I only removed the clutch assembly installed new assembly and have this piece that i have left over and it does appear to fit anywhere properly.
is it flat with a tit going up and one going down and they are on each end
yes
do you have the tub back in and the nut run down
never took tub out only pulled out gearcase
you removed the agit didnt you
the piece you have slides down over the shaft under the agit and one tit goes down into the hole in the nut and the other tit sticks upward and then you have a c shaped metal piece that slides down on the shaft and the open part of it fits over the upward tit ,,, if you already have it together then dont worry about pulling the agit and put them on next time ,, they dont have to be on to make it work ,,, / thanksyou can accept for john if you like .... have a great day Larry
