Fridgidaire model frs23r4cw7...THe freezer door is rusted out below the ice and water dispenser...The fridge is only about 5 years old...This started two years ago... I need a new door but it seems that sowmhow moisture is getting inside the door from somewhere?
when you open the freezer door and look down into the opening the ice falls though does the flap close completele or do you see dampness inside the opening
I do not see much dampness...The refridge is in my florida house...It is usually about 80 in the house when we are not there,,, The rust starts at the bottom of the drip tray and goes down the refridge
that is due to the weather and the door flap ,, the cold from the inside and the heat on the outside is making it sweat and then it rust and even rust quicker if you close to the coast because of the salt in the air ,,, if you are going buy a new door dont worry about the flap because the new door comes with the complete dispenser in it and then the flap will be tight and will not loose cold to cause this and try to leave the temp in the house to about 75 if possable
None of the parts people sell a complete new door...Do you have any idea which parts I should buy?
freezer door is part numberNNN-NN-NNNNand you can order it from www3.sears.com ,,, locals will not carry it ,, they want to sell parts
