We have a 8 yr old fron load Kenmore washer model 970 C41032 which suddenly will not agitate or spin. The motor runs bu tnothing happens. I suspect it may have been overloaded. Please advise if this is repairable by me, and if so, can you guide me, or do I have to get a technician to do this. Thank you John
If its a front loader have you checked the belt?
No I have not. I did not want to open it up until I had some advice
If you remove the back panel you will have access to the belt.It sounds like it is broke.

The belt is OK. The suspension spring (broken) on the top left and the "shock" (broken) on the bottom right side of the drum have allowed the drum to drop to the bottom right side. I cannot find a parts diagram for this Kenmore front load washer model (970 C41032.00) and would appreciate if you could direct me to a website that displays this. John
You will need to get the parts from sears.
