The bleach compartment on an LG WM0532 washer fills with water

Resolved Question:

The bleach compartment on an LG WM0532 washer fills with water and sometimes fails to empty during the complete wash cycle. I checked the clearances of the siphon tube and it seems ok. The main wash & fabric softener compartments empty properly. Has this been a problem with other machines?

it's just a common problem in general. If your coompartment fills with water but it's doesn't drain all the water and bleech out leaving it full at the end, then it means the water isn't entering quick enough.

You can do a test, don't use bleach but just use water. Fill a cup up with water and fill up the compartment quickly until it overflows. You will see it siphon all the water out. Without the pressure from filling up quickly the siphon line won't develope enough pressure to start siphoning.

To fix this problem you have to replace your electronic water valve assembly on the back of the unit. One of the solenoids is not allowing enough water to go through to siphon out the bleach compartment.

It seems that too much water is entering the Fabric softener compartment and tends to splash into the bleach side. Your fill test worked fine - and the bleach box emptied properly. Could the pressure be too great when the fabric softener is filling? Dale

Not likely but the diverted on the dispenser may not be making it to the correct position causing water to come out of both compartments.
