whats the model number please?
Customer: replied 5 years ago.

I thought Maytag Quiet Series 300 was the model number. it is all I see on the front. where is the number you are interested in located? The dishwasher is installed under the counter so getting to the back is difficult. is it by any chance located on the inside?

Customer: replied 5 years ago.

I read the manual on page 5-23 it says remove inner door panel and lift out latch assembly. so here is the last thing I need.

1 - list of parts

2 - your estimate of time required.

3 - where do I get the parts ?

I think I need a new inner panel gasket

I think I need a new latch assembly

Expert:  william replied 5 years ago.

i gave you info for the latch assembly where you can buy it why do you need a inner panel gasket

Customer: replied 5 years ago.

because I thought the manual said to pull off the inner panel and replace teh gasket.

page 5-21

When replacing Inner Door Panel, remove

Inner Door reinforcement, Bottom Seal and install on

new panel.

so you are saying I can buy the part for $25, pull the inner door panel (11 torx screws) , replace the latch and put the panel back on and I am done. is this correct?

Expert:  william replied 5 years ago.

if you want to i never did thats up to you

Customer: replied 5 years ago.

sorry to be so bull headed here but here is what I intend to do and I want to know if it will work.

step 1 - order the part (door latch that you speced out)

step 2 - when part arrives remove the 11 torx screws that hold the inner panel

step 3 - remove the damaged latch and replace it with the new part.

step 4 - put the inner panel back on and tighten the 11 torx screws.

is this correct ?
