I am thinking about buying a used sub-zero 611 Refrigerator. the only problem is it is broken. the owner says it turns on but will not get cold. If the repair is under $1000 it will be cost affective if more expensive i will have just wasted $1200. is there a way to tell how much it will cost to repair an appliance? how long do sub-zero warrenties last?

I guess my question is;what is the most it would cost me to fix a sub zero 611 that turns on but does not get cold? it may be a defective ref section evaporator. Here is another response from justanswers;

Both parts the compressor will be $ 450.00 ,the evaporator $ 200.00,In your ball park,
They are expensive ,With this repair if they don't replace all the lines ,It should be blown out with Nitrogen,To clean out the system,however you get ask if they do it that way,Its the only way make sure its clean
