When I turn my dryer on it shuts off after 5-10 minutes. This is happening consistently. Can you give me a reason why it is doing this and how much for a repair?

with the dryer running remove the vent hose off the back and let it run and see if it shuts off
Customer: replied 7 years ago.
ok, the dryer did turn off with the vent hose off after a minute or so. I also noticed a tear in the vent hose while removing it.

Customer: replied 7 years ago.
no it isn't, but it didn't run very long.

you will need to replace the motor ,,, the run windings are bad ,,, you can take the model number to a local apliance parts dealer and get a price and part number and it comes with instructions / thanks
