I recently was given a GE Portable Air Conditioning Unit (8,000 BTU) Model No APE08AKM1. I don't have an owners manual. When I plug it in and turn the power on, I can get the fan to work. However, when it comes to the cooling feature, I don't know what to do. The screen shows snow flakes falling and an E4 signal. I don't know if that stands for Error. I cannot make the temperature arrows work either. I feel as though I am at a loss until I have some kind of instruction manual. What can I do to make the unit cool. It is only one year old and very clean. Please help before I roast.
