maytag top loading washer model pavt454eww

 

p.s. the washer is level and the tub is even in the washer.... the agitator is tight and shakes/shudders when in the wash cycle

does this sound funny in spin too? tip the machine back and check the belt to make sure there isnt a chunk missing from it. let me know thanks Bryan

spins sounds and operates normally

 

no belt problem observed under neath.... belt and pulleys look and operate good also

Part 948449Part 436856this is a two piece agitator and it must be wornwhere they go together. here are the diagrams on this. take the agitator out and see if its worn either where it goes together of at the shaft where it goes onto the transmission spline. thanks Bryan
