I have a Maytag MSD2356EA side by side fridge. The fridge

Resolved Question:

I have a Maytag MSD2356EA side by side fridge. The fridge side was not cooling so in the process of looking at the door that lets air in from the freezer I poped the spring. I can not see how to get the spring back on. Can you help?

Hello is the unit cooling correct now? Also what spring are you referring to?

The unit is cooling now. Problem turned out to be ice in the coils. The door I am talking about is at the inside top. it covers the hole between the freezer and fridge sides. This allows the cool air from the freezer to cool down the fridge side.

There is a spring that holds the door closed and another unit that opens the door as cold air is needed.

is this the spring? it connects to this, Part 665111, Appliance Part Mouse Over there should be a hole for the other end of the spring to connect to. you can see on these pictures where it goes on the damper door. here are all the diagrams for your refrigerator. http://www.appliancepartspros.com/partsearch/model.aspx?model_id=46145 click here, hope this helps. thanks Bryan
