I have a Admiral refrigerator model #ATF1910DR. When I opened

Resolved Question:

I have a Admiral refrigerator model #ATF1910DR. When I opened the freezer this morning I heard a dripping sound followed by a sizzle. I turned off the ice maker and the sound stopped but I am not sure they are connected.

Hi Thanks for the question,The noise you heard was the freezer in its defrost cycle,

The sizzling was the melting frost on the freezing coils, hitting the element as it thaws,So you just happen to catch it ,It happens about every 9 hrs

So The sizzling is normal operation
