I purchased a home with a LG refrigerator (model number LRFD25850).

Resolved Question:

I purchased a home with a LG refrigerator (model number LRFD25850). The previous howeowners informed me that although they repaired a leak in the freezer one year ago, the freezer is leaking again, causing ice build-up. While researching online, I found hundreds of postings from people with the same freezer water leak (Google LG refrigerator freezer water leak). Since this appears to be a manufacturer defect, I thought you might know the problem and if the leak can be repaired permanently for a reasonable cost.

HiYa ,

At this recall listing site you will notice that your model number # XXXXX is not listed as a recalled model #
But rather Model # XXXXX is the one.

More than likely the leak in your freezer was an
ice maker water line leak.
Or the ice maker water inlet valve was leaking.
Or some kind of leak at the ice maker components are.
These are complicated with many parts incorporated.
You most likely will need service to test and replace the defective part.

This is a very fine fridge you acquired and well worth the cost of a repair!!!
