I purchased a Sharp Drawer Microwave (OK it was 2 years ago, but it was a botched kitchen project and there were numerous delays). When the Microwave was (finally) opened we found it was the wrong size(36 inch) and I need a 24 inch model to fit into my cabinetry. I cannot locate my original paperwork but I bought the unit online. Can anyone help me swap this out or at least get some kind of credit for this very expensive model ($850US)?

You need to call Sharp and explain the situation and see if they will swap it.
Or go to a small or privately owned Appliance store and see if they can help you switch it.
At a small appliance store they are the only ones that can be flexible enough to do this swap and still make some money.

I'm sorry to tell you this .
Since you did not check the product over and open the box when you bought it,
there are no return otion.
You will need to sell it and buy the one you want.

I wasted over an hour waiting for a customer service rep wading through complicated menu options and then waiting for reps reviewing, etc. The information above would have been worth paying for if it had been supplied by means of a question, etc when I originally asked.
