Customer Question

My Bosch WFMC3200uc/01 clothes washer is having a problem with the spin cycle. It makes this funny sound like it can't grab something. I think it's because I stuffed it too full but now what???

HiCustomerbr />Does the washer make the noise all through the cycle or only at certain points in the cycle. It sounds as if the drain pump has something in it or is failing.

When I turn it to just spin or drain it will not go.

Have you checked to see if the pump needs cleaned. This is the most common problem for what you describe. If there is debris in the pump, and the machine detects it ,the washer will not spin.

how do I clean the pump?
Expert:  rob clement replied 7 years ago.
If you remove the access panel(the round plastic cover) on the lower right corner you will be able to access the pump.If you unscrew the filter you will see the debris most likely in the filter. There will be about a quart of water or so leak out.I use a plastic garbage bag to catch it.Place the bag around the pump through the hole to catch the water

Rob, I tried to wash a load of clothes today and now the pump is doing the same thing. I went through the same steps to clean out the pump but still will not drain. What now???
Expert:  rob clement replied 7 years ago.
Well, if there was nothing in the pump then you wiill need to replace the drain pump as the impeller has gone bad
