how many coils are there? Is that a kit of 2??? thanks
Expert:  Barry G. replied 5 years ago.
Yes its a kit of two. One is a safety and one is a main.
Customer: replied 5 years ago.
should the dryer of ran longer with the front panel removed ?
Expert:  Barry G. replied 5 years ago.

It may or may not, if its not heating and the vent is clear and it ignites then goes out in a few seconds you need the coils.

Customer: replied 5 years ago.
well as i said everything goes as planned.. igniter glows..gas ignites then as dryer heated up poof went the flame after about one minute.. But some have said that may be because front panel was removed
Expert:  Bryan replied 5 years ago.
you have one of two possible problems in this . here a picture of the average gas assembly. Gas Dryer Gutsmost likely you need the gas coils. this is the most common problem on these . is the air blowing out the rear real strong.? if not you may have a bad blower in this , this can cause that problem also. the other possible cause is this. Part 481329the high limit thermostat its located on the top of the burner tube. with the front off it can cause this burner to shut down early but you said it was doing this with the cover on so I believe its one of the problem io mentioned, 90% chance though its your gas coils. its the cheapest and most likely the problem. thanks Bryan
