How often does this occur?

It sounds as though something heavy (like a shoe) is in the dryer and makes the clunk sound on each rotation? It is somewhat intermittant, but seems to be happening more and more frequently.

You need to take the drum out of the dryer are you a handy person.

If you open the door you will see screws on the left and right sides remove them.Then take the front panel from the sides and pull it off.Now the door and front bearing need to be removed it is held on with screws around the edges on the left and right sides.Release the belt from the pulley remove the drum.The drum rollers are on the back wall.They are 2 wheels.
