what is going on exactly with the spin cycle, does the timer stop before the spin and just sit there? Does it sound like it's trying to spin just water is coming out? Is it dead silent?
Customer: replied 7 years ago.
No time completes but does not spin. Yes it sounds like it wants to spin.
ok if you put the machine into agitate now can you tell me if it still agitates please? (I know it probably did before) Then put it to spin and tell me if the water drains.
Customer: replied 7 years ago.
Yes it agitates. It drains without a problem. I got it to spin with nothing in it.
ok so thats not good it means your basket drive is slipping. This basket drive is very hard to access as you have to remove the inner tub, the motor, and the transmission to access. The part runs about $120 and if you pay for the labor and trip you'r probably looking at a $300 repair bill to fix the problem unfortunately.
