Whirlpool Duet Frontload (M#GHW9150PW0) is saying Control Lock

This answer was rated:

Whirlpool Duet Frontload (M#GHW9150PW0) is saying Control Lock and won't do anything. What could be wrong?
HiCustomer

Thank you for using Just Answer.

There will be a button (it's doubled labeled with another function also), that has either "Control Lock" or "Lock" on it.

Push and hold this button for the count of 10 and that should release the lock.

Please let me know if you would like more information and/or clarification.

HiCustomer

That button on your machine is the "End of Cycle Signal" button.

I tried holding the "control on" button several times for 20 to 30 seconds at a time. Unplugged the machine overnight and still locked. However, when I held "control on" and "pause cancel" button the time displayed - 35 minutes and the "Delicate" light flash, but still wouldn't do anything.

What to do now?
HiCustomer

The only button that will unlock the machine is the is the "End of Cycle Signal" button. It should only take a average count of 5 for it to unlock.

This machine does not have a "End of Cycle" Signal button.
Hi Stokes,

I check the owner's manual for this Whirlpool front load washer and that is the button that was shown.

Is the model number correct?

I am doing this for a friend. I saw the machine this morning the Model No. GHW9150PWO     Serial No. CSR2802628 the only buttons are: control on, hold start, and pause cancel. Hope that helps.
HiCustomer
